When I became Reformed after more than 25 years in a non-denominational church it was like being born again all over again! My faith finally made sense, I began learning that the Bible was a continuous narrative of God's redemptive plan, and I no longer lay awake nights fearing the loss of my salvation. I can look back and see God's sovereign hand guiding me and my husband in all of this - I can say with the Apostle Paul, "Oh, the deepness of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!" - Romans 11:33a.

Thank you for posting this. I was converted about a year and a half ago but in less than a month I was introduced to the Doctrines of Grace. I grew up in a church that taught decisional regeneration, but I can look back at my conversion and say it was solely God who called me and saved me. My decision has nothing to do with being born again. The more I saw Calvinism being biblical, the more I had to let go of what I had previously been taught as a child. Reformed theology glorifies God. Thanks be to God who opens eyes to see His truth!

I'm having trouble with commenting on this because its like you jumped inside my head and read my thoughts. I have been a Christian for 34 years, (Did I actually just admit that publically. Wow I'm old.). Anyway, this is exactly my feelings on being reformed. For the first time in my life, I am living freedom in Christ and not just reading about it or talking about it. I never realized how much carnality and bondage I was living in until reformation set me free. I always heard others talk about their freedom in Christ and I wanted what they had, but until I was truly enlightened by the Holy Spirit to this, I was in the dark. Praise God for His gift of putting the right people in my path to teach me and for His gift of opening my eyes and heart to His truths. Thanks for posting this Les. You bless my life almost daily with your love for Jesus. I am honored to worship and serve alongside you and your family.
