I said Christ literally suffered hell on the cross. For the atonement to be full and complete, Christ had to suffer our complete punishment. No? That's all I meant. If nothing else, I think it's a statement about Christ going through Hell, on the cross, in our stead, no? as in 'for 3 hours Christ descended into Hell for His people'... can you elaborate though? what about: "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison.” -1 Peter 3:18 “You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” -Acts 2:27 well, I wouldn’t go that far.
