Seth's right--it is a sore subject. Very sore. Many (among whom I'm regretfully numbered) find the complexity of Pauline doctrine frequently at odds with the simplicity of our Lord and Savior's. It's difficult for a new Christian to get their arms around the very simple notion of "Whosoever will" when the Pauline concept of "Whoever's chosen (with caveats)" is spread-out before them. It obscures the Gospel of a salvation offered to EVERY man who will call upon Christ's name. It's dismaying, to say the very least.

Beautiful treatment of what is a sore subject for some. I appreciate you making clear the ramifications of falling on the side of God's sovereignty. Trusting Him for the harvest is liberating!

Yeah man, this is a real topic. And a real good handling of the issue. I would recommend this article to anyone who struggles with this issue. No matter which side they're on.
